BAE Systems is a global defence, security and aerospace

joint research and development project since July 2010.
BAE Systems Surface Ships is the UK's premier designer,
manufacturer, integrator and services provider delivering highly
capable naval ships and supporting infrastructure to the UK Royal
Navy and customers around the world.
Under our partnership, engineers at BAE Systems Surface Ships
are taking their extensive knowledge of the design, repair and
maintenance of complex naval systems, and working with us to
develop an intelligent diagnostic system and remote ballasting
mechanism for our Oyster wave energy converter.

services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced

In addition to its partnership with Aquamarine Power, BAE
Systems is involved in a number of further renewable energy
projects, including working with the wind industry to resolve radar
disruption issues and designing the electrical distribution system
for the largest land based wind farm in Europe at Whitelee
Aquamarine Power is a truly pioneering company. We are delighted to be able to apply BAE Systems’ skills developed in naval design and maritime engineering to support the development of Aquamarine Power’s innovative Oyster wave power technology.
