SENIOR CAD DESIGNER
The Role
The Senior CAD Designer will work within the Engineering Department developing the design of future generations of the Oyster wave power technology. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, they will have experience of working in a product development environment. The successful candidate will have strong 2D and 3D design draughting skills using Solidworks and related packages like PDM works for document control.
The Senior CAD Designer will have the following key experience:
• An experienced Senior CAD Designer with industrial design experience within a marine based engineering business
• Ability and creativity to take ideas to a conceptual design level, and progress from conceptual design to detailed design level
• Good understanding of engineering practices / common standards and material selection
• Good all-round knowledge of electrical, diagrams, hydraulic systems and structural design
• Working within a robust Product Data Management environment
• AutoCad / other software package knowledge would be advantageous
Salary is dependent on experience.
