Milestone 1 (2004-2006)
Concept development work and system design completed. Two stage iterative design process to arrive at a commercially viable system design.
Milestone 2 (2007–2008)
Detailed design of major components completed and delivery of final production designs. Procurement activities to identify and select key component suppliers. Working with EMEC to secure consents for installation and testing of a commercial demonstrator.
Milestone 3 (2008-2010)
Conclusion of contracts for fabricating and installing Neptune. Installation and demonstration at the EMEC Fall of Warness tidal test site.
Milestone 4 (2009–2012)
Aquamarine aims to deliver the Neptune array demonstration design, on schedule for the first array demonstration as a precursor to commercial deployment.
